Let’s delve into the rich history of the Nissan Skyline GT-R, a legendary name in the Japanese automotive industry. All models of the Skyline GT-R are renowned for their powerful engines and being ahead of their time, not to mention their stunning appearance.
It isn’t hard to see why the Skyline GT-R has remained one of the most sought-after cars in the world since their release, but which is for you?
Though the first generation of Skyline GTR debuted as a four-door sedan, it was later advertised at a Tokyo Motor Show highlighting its racing ability. Equipped with a 160 horsepower, 2 liter inline-six engine. This car earned a name for itself amongst petrol heads after a near invincible run at domestic touring car races before it was replaced.
Introduced in 1973, the second generation Skyline GT-R also featured a 2 liter inline-six engine and its more aggressive style may have seemed as if it would be a perfect successor. However, a petrol crisis in the early 1970s meant the demand for sports cars had dropped and with that so did sales of the GT-R, for over a decade!
Though technically the R32 (Officially the BNR32) is the third generation of Skyline GT-R, many of us would refer to this as the beginning of the iconic car, pioneered by its all-wheel-drive system. As the petrol crisis became old news and sports cars made their way back, so did Nissan’s Skyline GT-R. This time with a whopping 2.6 liter, twin-turbo, inline-six engine delivering 280 horsepower that was ready to dominate any track.
The R33 (Officially the BCNR33) had a lot to live up-to, and that is exactly what it did. Though the car featured the same engine as the R32, the new, more aggressive appearance introduced in the R33 was much more than a simple facelift. Improved suspension, air-cooled brakes and lighter build materials were a few of the features that allowed the car to become the first to make it round the Nurburgring in under 8 minutes.
The Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 (Officially the BNR34), often referred to simply as the R34, is widely debated as the pinnacle of the Skyline's evolution and is widely celebrated amongst car communities. The popularity of this iconic car was fuelled further by it’s cementation into pop-culture, particularly thanks to the Fast & Furious movie franchise, the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 has achieved a near-mythical status amongst car enthusiasts.

Though with our help you can still find a good quality skyline from as little as $20,000 plus shipping, to help split up that huge range a little we have provided a typical pricing amount below:
R32 - Our most common price range for an R32 is $25,000 - $100,000, though we have seen extremely low mileage versions cost more.
R33 - For a R33 you could be looking anywhere within the range of $30,000 - $110,000 depending on mileage, wear and tear as well as any modifications.
R34 - The R34 is our most sought after skyline, as a result prices go from $90,000 - $250,000 though these cars are extremely popular so if you’re looking to snatch up a bargain R34 then we’d recommend getting in-touch so we can help with an auction.
We do all of the hard work, from buying the car to arranging its drop off, all you have to do is let us know what car you’re after, where it needs to go.
We aim to be as transparent as possible so the price you see is the price you pay us, all you have to add to that is your shipping costs, depending on where you need shipping to. For auction cars please see our how to buy page.
Our only accepted payment method is to our corporate bank account by invoice, this gives you security in the transaction and that you have an official corporate record of the purchase in your name. We will provide you with a commercial invoice, BL, and export certificate and other relevant documents.
